The Mooseland Road wildfire has seen significant growth today is out of control. It currently sits at approximately 300 hectares.

Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency, and volunteer fire departments are continuing to respond to the fire. Two DNR helicopters and four fixed-wing water bombers are on site.

An additional two fixed-wing water bombers are on their way to assist from Newfoundland.   Mooseland Road is currently closed near Sixth Lake. Please avoid the area.
