Department of Natural Resources and Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency are continuing to respond to the fire on Mooseland Rd, Halifax Co. The fire is now estimated to be 1386 hectares due to more accurate mapping of the fire and is still out of control. 

Two DNR helicopters and four-fixed wing water bombers are assigned to the fire along with two fixed-wing water bombers from Newfoundland. Heavy equipment are also on site.

Mooseland Road is currently closed to traffic, beginning at the intersection of Highway 7 and Mooseland Road. Please avoid the area.
