Mooseland Road Wildfire

Status

Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency, and volunteer fire departments are actively responding to a wildfire around Mooseland Road by Sixth Lake, Halifax County.

It is currently estimated to be 1,700 hectares in size and is out of control. Firefighters on site include 25 DNR and 31 volunteers firefighters.

An evacuation order has been issued for 4315 Mooseland Road to Highway 7.
